The Times They Are A'Changin'.

I am newly employed today.

I start training in almost three weeks. I am also taking a 50-55% pay cut from my time in the Army. However, it is a job. Something that will help pay the bills while I continue to look for other work. There is possibility of promotion within the company. One of the things I have to be aware of within myself is my sense of loyalty. I tend to be very loyal to the people I work for and with. "Riding for the Brand" is deeply ingrained in me. However, I have to learn to shift some of the that to being more loyal to myself. It is not a selfish thing, but rather a realistic view to what is now possible for my family and I.

I still covet your prayers though. There is still an unnamed situation that I am working through. While on the surface, things look better, under the surface, they are not.

Thank you for staying with me through all of this. It means more than you can imagine.

  1. congrats. Work is good. I would not count on loyalty in today's work force. It is taken and prized but rarely returned.
