Katanga The Untold Story (Of U.N. Betrayal)

I would also refer to my earlier post on Jadotville and The Wild Geese. This film from the early 1960s is an interesting look at what was going on in Congo and Katanga. These experiences unfortunately became part of the playbook to be used later on to change Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe) and South Africa.



I quite stumbled on this film by accident. I am surprised that I had not seen it before. The otherwise well filmed Siege of Jadotville for Netflix doesn't really get into any of this at all. Which does not surprise me at the least.
