Transitions Stacked Upon More Transitions. Other Posts I Have Been Following In The Meantime.

Transition is always difficult. It can become easily overwhelming when you have multiple transitions stacked one upon another. Leaving a career and moving alone seem difficult enough. Having your oldest child move out at the same time add to it. It is exciting to see him start to spread his wings and begin his own life. There is also loss. Siblings miss him. His mother and I miss him. But it is the way of things.

Then you add the wreck during the move. My family is still dealing with the aftermath of that.

Settling In.

We just got internet at the new house. Thanks for sticking with us. I could see the comments submitted, I could not get them published until now. Thank you again for the prayers.

Now, the challenge is taking care of the old house when we are a bit gunshy of traveling and driving due to the accident.

Grateful Beyond Words-A Quick Update On Our Move

On Tuesday morning we left our old house (not for good, still have to do final clean up and paint) and 45 minutes later my 14 year old son and I were involved in a head on collision when an oncoming car drifted hard into our lane of travel and smashed into our truck. My wife and three other children (17, 10, and 8, plus the family dog) were in our mini van behind the truck and saw everything. My son and I walked away from the wreck. I started first aid on the driver of the car that hit us, relaying his injuries to 911 through bystanders and my wife who were calling everything in.

Posting Will Be Light to Non-Existent For The Next Several Days.

Prayers for safety, weather (it is raining, here, right now!), tempers, and an autistic son dealing with everything are most appreciated.

Betcha You Have Never Seen That Before!

I have written before about my interest in Western Martial Arts. Most folks are familiar with the concept of samurai swords being tested in the cutting of tatami mats. Most folks are not familiar with the same concept with European swords.
