The dust is still settling from yesterday's elections. Some results were expected. Others were surprises. We are no longer one nation. We are a country of competing beliefs and desired outcomes. Half the country seeks lesser government. Half the country seeks socialism/communism in all of its various forms. It is a war for your heart and mind between diverse values.
This election cements the adage of Urban vs. Rural, the Everywheres vs. the Somewheres, those who believe in individual liberty and responsibility vs. those who believe that the State trumps all so that the "greater good" can be protected.
Where do we go from here? Firstly we need to be on our knees in prayer. Praying for our representatives and their families. These dangerous times are becoming even more dangerous. The left and their media enablers are more emboldened than ever. They need to be brought to heel. But how? How many times have I thought about the Old Testament judgments of those who flaunted in front of God, only to be swallowed by the earth or consumed in fire from heaven. Why hasn't He done the same here, today?
I do not have an answer for that.
But I do know that the Unmasking will continue. The masks being removed this time were from ourselves.
I am trying really hard to move forward from the results of the election. I will. I really saw the potential for a Red wave. I am grateful that a Blue wave did not occur. We are not to place our trust totally in politicians. They are our representatives, not our leaders to be fawned over and worshiped.
We have a lot of work ahead of us and it starts today.
